Plan Ahead!

You’ll see me repeating this theme throughout this book. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to plan ahead. Here are several reasons why:

Convenience: If you are traveling, there’s nothing worse that getting to your hotel room and finding that they have no internet or the internet is slow or the phone book is all in Chinese. You’ll waste a lot more time researching at your destination than if you do it ahead of time. Many times, you have a choice of two of three hotels. Why not stay in a hotel that is closer to the action and girl friendly?

Time: Often, when traveling you are on a tight time schedule. Maybe you only have two hours before your next meeting or your next flight. Save time by knowing where you’re going, how to get there, and what to expect. Jet lag is a factor. I have run out of time or fallen asleep (due to jet lag) because of lack of planning. Spending hours in front of your computer will not necessarily keep you awake.

Safety: If you are pressed for time you can make bad choices and take risks that you should not take. Having the information ahead of time will allow you to proceed in a safe manner. Street hookers are dangerous in many ways. Also, it can be dangerous to rely on a stranger (such as a cab driver) to take you someplace you don’t know. Know about HIV/AIDS and know how to protect yourself from getting it. When possible, bring your condoms with you. When not, buy them yourself. Always practice safe sex!

Big Head / Little Head Mentality: A week or even a day before your trip, if you are doing research, you are planning with your big head. If you wait until you’re locked up in a hotel room in a strange place, anticipating sex, you’ll be thinking with your little head. That is almost never a good way to plan, choose, or negotiate for sexual favors. This is a good way to end up at a strip joint with a professional…a professional at taking men’s money that is.

Money: If you wait until the last minute, you’ll undoubtedly spend more money both on research, travel and the girl’s services. Use your email connection at home…it’s already paid for. Figure out how to get to the place you’re going so you don’t have to jump into an expensive cab later. Know what the girls posted rates are so you don’t have to pay at her whim. Rates will vary from country to country. It doesn’t do anyone any good if you overpay due to lack of research.
