Ah Japan! Where my innocence was lost. If you’ve read the first part of this book you’ll understand why I’ve been turned into an Asian crazy mongerer. Japan was where it all started. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Japan so I won’t pretend to know all the ins and outs of Japan mongering. I do know that sex in Japan is alive and well and that its not too hard to find.

Dating
Like Korea, Japan is no third world country type place where young women are going to throw themselves at your feet because you are a foreigner or Gaigin. Japanese girls are mostly interested in Japanese boys. That being said, it’s not impossible to date a Japanese girl. Just be prepared for the “talk to the hand” routine a few times before you are successful. Like Korea, these girls are fashion conscious, high maintenance individuals. If you’re wearing stripes and plaids and have a knot in your necktie as big as your head, the only reason they’re looking at you is because they want to take your picture to post on their blog just for laughs.

Yellow Page Escort Services
In Japan this option is worth a try although language and writing may be a barrier so you’ll have to rely on the internet. Always tell the agency what you want and let them know if the girl is not to your liking, you will send her away with cab fare.

Girls Business Cards
All over Tokyo and other major Japanese cities you will find these business cards advertising promising services. Often you’ll find that the pictures on these cards are explicit and mildly arousing. If you pass a phone booth with a couple cards you find attractive, take them for later. It may be a bit embarrassing but don’t worry. Even if the Japanese don’t approve, they will never act in a way to embarrass you…that would shame them.

Karaoke and KTV Places
This is huge in Japan but a fairly expensive way to find a girl for the night. These places are way more fun if you’re with a small group of co-workers and the tab is on the company. Be advised that the Japanese karaoke bars often have different levels. One level may be unaffordable to you but there may be a lower level where you can be comfortable. Also, your mongering will be better if you find a bar with imported girls instead of Japanese girls. If you find yourself at one of these places with a girl on wither side of you encouraging you to drink and sing, tip the girls discreetly before you try to grope them. Small tips are fine, especially at import girl bars. A $5 tip in any currency will be well received and may lead to a hotel visit (if that’s what you’d like). Ask her to meet you later at your hotel or offer to meet her after her shift is over. Leave her cab fare so she knows you’re serious.

Shinjuku
As in my story at the beginning of this book, Shinjuku is still an active place for nightlife and sexual fun. Any massage parlor down there will provide services to you. Just don’t expect them to advertise (like I did at first). They will tell you, “No Sex!, No Sex!” all the way until you get behind closed doors. Then they’ll ask you if you want a hand job, blowjob, or fuck. Shinjuku is also filled with “guides” willing to direct you to places they’ll receive a commission from. Some of these guys are legit and some are not. My first guy led me to a smoky room with some actual Kabuki entertainment. Great if you’re a 50-year-old housewife wanting to experience Japanese culture but lousy if you’re a man seeking sexual pleasure. My advice is to wander around and find your own place. When I was there, there was a place called USA Massage that was quite an operation. If you use a guide, don’t give him any money until you’ve seen the inside of the place and are sure you’re getting a “massage”. The guides can be good if you don’t want to visit the McDonalds of massage parlors (like USA Massage) where they crank American servicemen through like Kobe beef cattle.

5 Tips for Successful Mongering in Japan:

1) It is unlikely that you will make a connection in Japan through AFF but by all means, try searching the World Sex Guide. The members will tell you what’s available by city there. …and it doesn’t hurt to try AFF if you have the time.
2) If you’re in Tokyo, make sure to visit Shinjuku. It’s a major subway stop so you should not have a problem locating it. It is a large station however. Make sure you get your bearings and head into the Shinjuku district rather than back into Tokyo center. The Japanese will probably not help you…not because they’re rude but because they are embarrassed to show you they do not speak perfect English.
3) Once in Shinjuku, take a look at some of the obvious massage parlors (like a neon sign flashing USA Massage). Wander around a bit before settling on one. If you don’t see one that suits you, there will be plenty of men in Shinjuku, willing to direct you for a price. I think the best ones are unmarked and known only to the local guides.
4) If you have a friend or co-worker you can trust, ask him to recommend a hostess bar. He’ll most likely offer to take you and maybe even pay for the evening. These places are filled with beautiful young women who may or may not be available for some late night fun. Either way it’s a great way to spend an evening and a good way to become closer to colleagues abroad. Remember if your friend pays, you’ll need to repay the favor when he comes to your home town.
5) When all else fails, try the yellow pages and find an escort service. In Japan, they’ll have a menu to rival all. It’s likely that you can choose from various ethnicities, skin tones, body types, etc. You’ll not be disappointed but your wallet will be lighter.
